This exciting form of modern sculpture is the result of marrying two different art forms - sculpture and cane making.  The bodies are sculpted from metal and clay.  After being fired the sculpted form is overlaid with a variety of canes; next, the skin of canes covering the piece is sculpted even further for more detail and then fired for the last time.  Finally, the sculpture is sanded and polished.
